It was the nobel prize weekend and the grand was playing host to the good and the great - this made the veranda busy at breakfast time but having been warned we went before 9am - had a leisurely breakfast – and then walked out past the queue that had formed! the grand is in the perfect location for a city break and is one of the traditional “grand” hotels of the world. they have kept up to date with the technology without abandoning their traditional values and the excellent service they have always provided. i didn’t get a nobel prize but we did have a wonderful weekend and i can highly recommend the grand to anyone.
