Stopped at this hotel about 10 years back and it was a lovely place, however now it's somewhat gone to pot. the staff were very good but the hotel itself, especially the outside, doesn't look as though it's been maintained since swallow went into administration in 2006. weeds everywhere in the grounds along with broken glass and skips dotted about in the small car park. obviously hasn't been re-painted for a good few years. paying a couple of handymen to maintain the place would surely pay dividends ? breakfast is quite good as long as you avoid the sausages but the evening meal (spinach tortellini) was very poor.
