Would not recommend

Hotel in desperate need of upgrade/re furb - very shabby (public places look fine-upstairs poor) our room was basis - it was clean but huge black damp patch on bathroom ceiling. we paid to have dinner in hotel- food was poor and over priced. bar staff were very slow, although pleasant enough. reception staff were pleasant and helpful. the pub attached was smelly, staff were rude and cursing loudly at each other when we went in for a drink in the afternoon, since weather was bad. great location though
