Enjoyable stay last weekend, on reflection i should've researched the city centre better. i have been to liverpool before but stayed near albert docks, where i was better orientated! i wouldn't hestitate to stay here again though, a satisfactory stay.

The devonshire is not a 3 star hotel. i have stayed in far better 2 star hotels. the hotel badly needs a good hands on manager. lots of staff but no management. buffet breakfast very badly arranged & presented. food left a lot to be desired. white wine served tepid. taking into account an old building room was ok. en-suite had no mechanical ventilation despite being an inner room. faulty wc cistern was promptly replaced with another less faulty one. all in all a very disappointing stay.
