The hotel is easy to get to just off the main arterial road to cardiff and a short taxi ride to the centre of town. the hotel is in need of refurbishment, the furnishings are dated and worn in places, however the service from all the staff was superb. the breakfast offered a wide choice of hot and cold fresh foods, and was excellent both in quantity and quality. a great stay for the price and the benefit of having a good gym and pool.

We chose this hotel on price, leisure facilities and location as we were competing in the british masters athletics championships at cardiff stadium. the hotel is 5mins from the m4, sports stadiums and cardiff bay (well worth a visit for a meal, boat trip or walks). we were delighted by the quiet setting, overlooking a small lake with a pleasant path to stroll round. the leisure facilites (pool, jacuzzi, steam, sauna, gym and excercise classes) are first class. despite the fact that there was a graduation party on the friday and a wedding reception on the saturday, we were not disturbed so the sound insulation from the public areas is good. the real plus point was the friendliness of the staff and we were helped with directions, maps and advice. overall an excellent stay despite wet and windy weather.
