La cockroacha

Wow... it's super natural hotel. if you like cockroach, this is the best option. also, one of room was trrible. i still remember that number, 547. door, tv, light and air conditionor were broken. so, i requested another room. then, anyway i've got another room. but door was still broken. then, they said, if i don't like this room, there's no option except that terrible room. so, anyway, that door was fixed after 2hours waiting. and.... i found cockroach in thay room! also, i asked to hotel side to do something for that... then they said 'in few minutes, cleaner is going there and add some cockroach killer. but, you know what? cleaner never came....... we had to sleep with cockroach.... :) super natural hotel. i will put that picture of cockroach! see it!

Horrible.

El hotel es horrible. súper viejo y sucio. paredes sucias, camas duras. a veces eso es compensado con el servicio..este no es el caso..el servicio es terrible. todos son sumamente groseros. te tratan como si estuvieran haciéndote un favor. son groseros y la comida es un castigo. incluso vomité la de un día. este hotel es una estafa. alberca fea y sucia. camastros rotos. no te dan ni toalla si no dejas depósito. en verdad es un castigo hospedarte aquí.

Really disappointing

I came to this hotel as it had a reasonable price for this area and i wasn't expecting a lot as reviews had been mixed, but as long as it was clean i would be happy. the reception staff were rude, allowing others to jump line in front of you and treating you like a child rather than the customer. the food is really poor, but i could manage to always find the ingredients for a fresh salad. troughs of food with no signs to say what is in it and often i couldn't tell! the room had the most disgusting mould smell, that was really suffocating, we kept the air conditioner on with high fan speed all day to try to vent it out, it was no help. there were cockroaches in our room! rusted out bathroom, fridge was rusted out didn't close nor did it work. a safe that did not work. everyday i had to go to reception and change my room key over as it failed to work. and what is with that poor excuse for a pool with its plastic liner! complete lack of hotel information, no introduction at reception, nor in room. how does one get a beach towel, what times are meals, another patron was telling us about the al la carte restaurants where are these? it's a farce, don't spoil your holiday, pay extra and enjoy your time.

Not a 4 star

Outdated- i think they might be working on it. lots of workers, painting. the employees seemed tired. beds and hot water were good. the electrity went out. it was funny. the buffet was not good. the restaurant was good. felt like an outdated cruise

Review

Flash on the outside nice staff but rough construction and rough room ,door had to be kicked to open etc .beach was nice . restuerant looked flash shame about the food .i had diarea from the food .room also had strong chemical smell .no wifi

Decent resort in varadero

People are very friendly - rooms are clean although not new (our shower did not work great) - location at the beach is nice - not all the food at the buffet is good - decent hotel, for cuban standards
