Norway is known for being expensive so this hotel was quite reasonably priced. good shower, comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast. close to a bus route with frequent services to and from the city centre, even quite late at night. however better information about the nearest bus stop would have been useful on arrival.

This place is a 160 kronor taxi ride from the train station. it is nowhere near the center despite what they claim. we arrived at 9pm and there was literally nowhere to eat. the hotel restaurant wouldn't serve us since they close at 9 --on a saturday! in fact most things close early on saturday in bergen! so we had to eat peanuts and potato chips. aside from location and services it's an ok hotel. but almost ruined our time in bergen to be staying so far away from the center, and in a neighborhood with absolutely nothing available in the way of food.

This is a very nice hotel to the north of bergen, within 20 minutes walk of the centre, and ideally placed for the ferry terminal. the room we had was spacious and clean, everything worked, and the staff were pleasant and obliging, with impeccable spoken english.
