It does what it says on the tin
The accommodation was slightly "plain vanilla"; decorative repair not 100% (eg some chipped bathroom tiles)but everything was clean where it mattered. (i don't think a dusty top door moulding visible only from the shower matters!)sound insulation between rooms should be considered when any refurbishment is done. we ate there - food and wine was very acceptable and was also complimented by friends of ours who frequent much posher hotels than we do... the staff were friendly, relaxed and helpful without being over-familiar. can't say fairer than that! if you want uriah heep deference from staff and immaculate decor, then go somewhere else and spend a lot more money. if you want a more "at home" place to stay and staff you can get on with, pay less and come to the apollo. [erratum - i did not assess "services" or "business services" but the web site wouold not let me post comments unless something was inserted - so ignore those two data fields.]
