Built in 1984 and later partly renovated, the hotel comprises 8 floors with a total of 195 rooms of which 106 are singles, 88 doubles and one suite. The hotel has a lobby with a reception (open 24 hours a day), a safe, a currency exchange desk, a cloakroom, a TV room and conference room, lifts and garage (with 80 parking spaces). Dining options include a lobby bar and a la carte restaurant. Guests also have the possibility to use a public Internet access, and room and laundry services.
Located in the city center near the Cathedral and the old part of town. The hotel is a five minute walk from the tram station Rudolfplatz from where the lines 1 and 2 go directly to the fair ground. The journey takes about fifteen minutes.

Lobby

Large in size. Very attractive public area, has a splendid beamed ceiling in different colored wood and a large Persian style carpet.

Exterior

The hotel is made of three separate buildings. The main building has a white modern concrete facade except for the ground floor which is of red brick with attractive window frames.

Rooms

The 195 bedrooms are nicely decorated and have direct-dial telephone, radio, satellite television, pay-per-view movies, modem connection, en-suite bathroom and a hairdryer.

Restaurant

The breakfast room is very modern with high backed black chairs, white walls and dark blue carpet. There is a feature skylight above the buffet table which creates a nice focal point. The restaurant bar is on two levels separated by an iron spiral staircase.

Great location, dont ask for room 211!!!!

I took my 85 year old grandmother to cologne for the christmas markets at the end of november, and i chose the flandrischer hof hotel as the location was fantastic. the hotel was well presented, clean and comfortable. there is just one thing that would stop me using this hotel again, and this was the volume of noise we experienced from the piano bar beneath our room. we were there 3 nights in total, and neither of us could sleep until the music went off which annoyingly wasnt until after half past two every night(the second night it was 0315) we could hear every single word from the live singer, and the room was physically shaking along with the beat of the music. of course we told reception, i rang them each night at 2am as we were just shattered and needed to sleep, but we were told there was nothing they could do as live entertainment was booked every night!!
