Complaint of room size for the price

Room 308 was very disappointing for the price we paid. We should have paid 2/3rds the price of the room 302 since the size was that fraction smaller. We also had to contend with a noisy hall due to the lift being in front of us and our magnetic key was faulty. In addition, the reception staff on the saturday was particularly non-smiling and was not really helpful. The night before we stayed in St. Paul's and the Hotel for the same price was several classes above. In all honesty, we should be reimbursed for the first night!
Quiet but convenient location

This was the second stay within 2 months at this hotel. Why? The location is really convenient within a easy 5 minute stroll to Gloucester Road tube. It is very quietly located (I faced the back of the hotel on both occasions) but the 'main' road seems quiet anyway. The rooms very comfortable - my first was a double with single bed and had a balconied area which made it very spacious. My second visit had a double which was suitable for a shorter stay. Bathrooms very clean on both occasions. Beds - I normally don't sleep well but on both occasions found the beds very comfortable and slept well. Noise - there is none! There is no bar in the hotel but it is located near to so many so that is irrelevant. The only downside is not enough tables at breakfast but only needed to wait a couple of minutes for a table. No 'Full English' breakfast but the continental was superb. Would definitely recommend it and stay again.

Booked a double room, on arrival was given a twin so asked to be moved. The room we were given No 306 was so small no A/C and the window would only open about 5". While having a shower the shower rose feel off, I took it down to reception but when I came back later that evening was told the mtce man had gone for the day and would fix it in the morning. Glad we were only there for one night.

Breakfast chaotic, not enough seating at peak times. Toasters inefficient, staff did not communicate, coffee cold.

Had confirmation from Hotelclick.com as old address and was never inform that the hotel had moved to new premises around the corner.
Fortunately a friendly neighbour pointed us in the right direction, otherwise we would have had to abort our weekend in London.
Hotel is being modernised to excelent standard
Rooms small but functionable.
No shaver sockets
