Camping village fabulous

We had a very nice stay at the camping. if you want to see rome you do not need to rent a car. and the price for high saison was very good in july (11-31 july) we only paid 36 euro a night for 2 adults and 1 child so what do you want for this low price. we used the discount code "twitter" which was available at the moment we booked which give us an extra 10% discount. i think the normal price for 2 adults is 40euro, and for 3 adults 50 euro. children free. there is no kitchen, but there is a fridge (very handy) but we brought are on plastic plates and plastic knives and cups. als we brought an bbq envelop so we could bbq. but we did not use it because some other people who bought a bbq gave it to use. we shared it also with other people. there where people from different nationalities (dutch, swiss, polend, spain, italy, canada, denmark) we had nice contact with them because we stayed long (11 nights) most people stay shorter. nice facilies of the camping good swimming pool and annimation for children. there is a restaurant (where you can also take away). there are no chairs in front of the bungalow only a wooden picknicktable which you have to chare with the people from the other bungalow. but is this went alright. the prices of supermarket are (as normal) quiet high comparing to the supermarket 15 walking minutes from the camping. it is not a nice walking because there is no official walking pad. but we walked besides the street there are going a lot of cars on this road. if you go from the camping go to the right. then take the second road right and then the first road left. walk through and there is the supermarket. the prices are very good. we took our hand luggage suitcase so we did not have to carry our things. if you want to go with 3 adults the bungalow is quiet small because you have a bunkbed above. but you can take the matrass and put it on the ground for the night. in the morning we put it on the other bed. the reception from the camping gives you very good information. you can buy there bus tickets also and the roma pass. this is a pass for 25 euro you can use to musea and public transport for 3 days in a row. we bought this because if you have this pass you do not have to go in line for the normal tickets but you can pass the line. this was very handy because there where a lot of people in this line and we good pass them (the line from groups we could take but there where just a few people in this line when we went. there is wirrliss wifi for 3 euro a day but we heared it is not so quick and sometimes not working. but most people used it with their laptop. near the internet point you had the best connection we heared. we used the computer from the internet point. for one hour 3 euro which you can use on different days. disonect well at the end you use the computer otherwise your time stays running and you can not use it any more on a different day. from the camping there is good public transport to rome. also people with cars take the bus because the do not have parking problems in rome and public transport is very cheap. this is the information from the camping: the nearest metro-station is eur fermi (line b). close to the campsite are buses n° 709 or n° 070 available to this metro-station. you will take this bus to the end of tis busline. this takes about 15/20 minutes (general timetable 06.30 – 23.30, sunday and national holidays: 07.00 – 21.00, leaving +/- every 20 minutes). from here you can take the metro into the very centre of rome, +/- 15 minutes. you will have the following possibilities for a ticket (available at our reception): - one way ticket (75 minutes valid): € 1,00 per person - daily ticket: € 4,00 per person - 3-days ticket: € 11,00 per person - weekly ticket: € 16,00 per person children younger than 10 years are free of charge on the public transport in rome. from 10 years and older you have to pay. you can reach ostia lido (beach) (8 km far from the campsite) taking bus n. 070 in front of the campsite, in the opposite direction of rome. from the airport of ciampino from ciampino airport you have to go to termini station, therefore are 2 possibilities: - take from the airport the shuttle bus to the metro station anagina, where you can take the metro line a to termini. - take from the airport the "terravision-bus" directly to termini station. at termini you have to take metro line b (in the direction of laurentina) until the stop eur fermi, from where you can take bus n.709 or n. 070 to the camping.
