Good value

Reasonably priced for monaco area , but a bit far from the monte carlo casino square. the shuttle bus was very infrequent and there was limited taxi service (which, they explained, was temporary). the restaurant menu caters for the american market (pots of weak black coffee, bacon and hash browns for breakfast, burgers and club sandwiches for lunch), but the setting on the port is pretty and the staff are friendly and helpful. try to get a seaview as the other side of the hotel is not very scenic.

Ottimo!

Semplicemente fantastico!!!! abbiamo soggiornato in occasione della partita di champions monaco-juventus.... l' hotel ha una posizione comodissima e le camere vista mare sono veramente bellissime, colazione all' aperto fantastica!!!! ritorneremo sicuramente!

Great hotel!

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times before, although the last time before this is a number of years back. as a former resident of fontvieille i love that area, so for me the location is perfect. i love the hotel too! but... i had great problems trying to book using hotelsclick.com. i wanted to pay using my american express card and when chosing that at the website there is a pop up saying that i have to call them. so i tried calling, at least a dozen times. from sweden, from france and monaco upon arrival. it would ring and then there would be an automated message saying that the operator is busy and to try again later. i called both the +39 and the +44 numbers. so after a while i gave up and just went ahead and paid with my mc. i was just going to stay one night, but i sure like the amex points i get from using that card. in the midst of this booking extravaganza, i accidentaly booked for the month of september. i didn't double check the booking before payment, so it was my mistake under a stressful situation. 25 euro cancelling fee is acceptable, but not picking up the phone is less so. ;-) after a couple of hours without my booking appearing in the marriott system a lady double checked my email and she is the one that spotted that i had booked for september instead of august. so i made a new booking and that worked right away. the saving using hotelsclick was about 70 euro for one night including breakfast. if i deduct the 25 from the cancellation i still saved a good amount. :-) after all the booking trouble the super nice hotel staff upgraded my room to a sea view with balcony! staff were superb. as a "thanks" i took a young guy from the reception for a spin in the brand new jaguar f-type i was driving. he liked it. i recommend this hotel. i also recommend hotelsclick as their rate is so good. i guess that the low rate is also the reason for not being able to pick up the phone... ;-)

Pleasent room, abd hotel, but a very bad service

Dissappointing in many many ways, understaffed, service very bad, not clean at all it doesnt deserve more than a three star hotel, out of 10 days 3 days at 4pm we have to ask for the for the room to be cleaned. and when they clean the room, they forget to empty ashtray on balcony for a whole week. they dont empty the bins, that is full with baby daipers. hotel restaurant very slow and bad service. the pool is very dirty, i had to call reception to let them know that there was kids swimming with thier clothes in the pool. i would never stay there agian.
