Our water taxi picked us up from the cruise port and dropped us off at the side entrance of the hotel. we were greeted promptly at the reception desk. although it was too early to check-in, the bell boy stowed our luggage for us until our room was available. we were escorted to our room later and showed where everything was located, and how to operate the safe in the room. the room was nicely decorated, and clean. we were surprised to find the continental breakfast offered a variety of food and refreshments. the cappuccino was delicious. on the day that we checked-out, we were waiting for the water taxi to pick us up but started to get a little concerned when the time came and no one showed up. the gentleman at the front desk knew of our water taxi arrangement and followed up for us without us asking. he informed us that because the water level was too high, the water taxi cannot pick us up at the hotel but that they will come get us once they parked the boat at another location. his reassurance put us at ease and a few minutes later, our driver arrived to escort us as previously informed. we plan on returning to venice in the future and plan on staying at the aqua palace hotel for their superb service.
