An amazing facade, very well situated and very efficient reception staff who were extremely helpful. breakfast on the roof terrace gave terrific views - probably the best for any hotel in downtown lisbon. we had taken pot luck and picked a winner! very large apartment with very good facilities if you wanted to self-cater (we didn't). we'd return and have told our friends to give it a try.

Although the hotel was on rossio square and central to shops, restaurants, station, buses, etc. it was next to a social security office? (we think that's what it was) the outside of which was littered with cardboard and rubbish. there were also some tramps sleeping outside on the steps. they didn't bother us but it did bring the outside area of the hotel down a bit.
