It was a grade ii listed mansion, but has had a series of modern extensions on it.
Rooms are large and kept in fairly good condition along with the bathrooms. All are individually designed and decorated in period style, some with four poster beds, all have private bathroom. Rooms have colour television, hairdryer, radio, direct dial telephone and trouser press.
The dining room offers a high standard of service. The restaurant has pleasant views over the terrace and gardens, offering French and English cuisine. There are a number of private dining rooms available.
