Lobby
The Neoclassical central cloister boasts very fine stonework and is the monument’s main point of architectural interest.
Exterior
The monastery building contains a central Neo-classical cloister of finely-worked stone; it is the monument"s most interesting area in terms of architecture, with an intelligent layout of slopes and curved channels in the central flooring that were used to collect rain water that was then stored in a cistern beneath the floor tiles.
Rooms
The restored monastery is now a hotel with 50 rooms, distributed around the central cloister and an annex known as 'Casa del Monte Fuerte’, with a total capacity of 100 guests.
Restaurant
Here you can enjoy excellent trout or eels, and game such as venison and hare. Lacón con grelos (a pork and vegetable stew) with chorizo sausage; zorza sausage, tripe, and octopus Feira style are other typical local dishes.
