The hotel is newly built of steel and glass. The lower floors of the hotel are the SkyCity conference centre facilities, including one room with a thousand person capacity.

Rooms

All rooms are very spacious and beautifully furnished. The hotel opened in April 2005, so all rooms are new and up to date. Lower level rooms have city views, higher floors have panoramic harbour/city views. Standard inclusions are; tea/coffee facilities, iron/ironing board, mini-bar, Tv and in house movies.

Restaurant

There is one fine dining restaurant called Dine- by Peter Gordon. The breakfast restaurant called, The Terrace. Within two minutes walk of the Skycity Grand hotel there is five other restaurant outlets in the main SkyCity complex.
