A fabulous place to stay

This hotel is fabulous. john rocha has done an amazing job. the customer service at the hotel was the best i have ever received anywhere in the world. they were so helpful and friendly especially on reception. breakfast was great and only the finest produce was used. i would highly recommemd this hotel to anyone. its just 1 minutes walk away from the thai restuarant called koh. this was the best thai meal i have ever had and once again service was fabulous. hope your visit was as enjoyable as mine!!

Fab hotel but a bit rough around the edges

Fab location-right inbetween temple bar and o'connel street. the hotel itself is amazing-reception area, restaurant/breakfastroom and bar all very stylish and posh! the hotel is let down by its room which are nicely decorated and well equipt (mini-bar, toiletries, bath robes etc) but a bit rough around the edges. it wasn't a major prob but was disappointing for the price i paid.

Hotel with attitude

This hotel is beautifully placed to allow you to enjoy temple bar, but leave most of the noise behind as you stroll back over the millenium bridge to your room.

Weekend get away at the morrison hotel dublin

This hotel is right in the centre of dublin. just 2 minutes walk from the temple bar area. the breakfasts are expensive but delicious and the restaurant was a cool place to eat. had a wonderful weekend in dublin, fantastic atmosphere in all the places we went to. would definitely go again. the only downside is everything is expensive due to the tourism.

Weekend break in dublin

Myself and my partner were in dublin for the day for a christening. we arrived saturday lunchtime, checked in and had lunch in the bar. my girlfriend had a caesar salad and i had a burger and chips - both very tasty and served promptly (fat chips too ...mmm!) we then made our way to the christeninmg, which the staff kindly arranged taxis for us. on our return later that evening the hotel was very hot. they had some issues with the air con, which meant we were very hot and didn't get the best nights sleep (engineers had attended site, fixed the problem but it broke again a little later - these things happen!) next morning we had a fantastic breakfast in the restaurant. there was a huge selection of fresh fruits, cheese and hams and a buffet style cooked breakfast. the room temperature was still an issue so we had our coffee in their patio garden whilst reading the papers - much cooler. the restaurant itself was stunning - albeit a little knocked and bruised. after 3 years of being open i think it could do with a little refreshing, but the service and food itself was first class. we went back to our rooms to pack and prepare to check out. one criticism we both had about the room was the lighting. the rooms were lovely and the low lighting worked fine in the evening but for applying make-up / shaving, the lighting was inadequate. when we went to check out the staff were very apologetic. the front of house manager took time out to chat with us personally, apologised for the heating, wrote off our lunch bill from the previous day and gave me her card so i could contact her directly for when we next visit dublin. this was a very generous gesture and totally unexpected. i cannot recall another hotel ever taking such a personal interest in their guests and it was really appreciated (many thanks jane!!!) i will certainly be calling her for my next visit!!

Morrison hotel dublin

Great location on the river within easy walking distance to temple bar area and grafton street. half an hour from airport on the bus into ormond quay (need to have the correct change for the bus service, you can buy a ticket from the machines at the airport at the bus stance) hotel located on a main road, however was not easily visible from the drop off point on the other side of the quay, so after getting of the bus we had to ask around to find it. rooms are clean, average size with tea making facilities, mini bar,t.v, comfy beds. bathroom could do with being freshened up. the double glazing does shut out the traffic noise at night and air conditioning worked well.the hotel is nicely decorated however very dimly lit at night. the breakfast choice is excellent, setting you up for the day. majority of staff appear to be foreign and not all that welcoming or chatty, we had a better send off than welcome from the irish receptionist when we left. overall hotel served its purposes for a few days and would certainly return

Morrison hotel, dublin july 2007

Great hotel and excellant staff. the night porter in particular was very helpful and friendly. we got engaged during our stay and the hotel added to the moment. breakfast was very nice. the bar was a lovely place to enjoy a quiet drink in the afternoon. the interior of the hotel is very stylish however the subdude lighting sometimes gives the impression that a couple of bulbs need to be replaced. the location of the hotel is fantastic. a very short walk over one of the many bridges leads you stright into the heart of temple bar. enjoy a great meal in brunos on the right hand side as you enter temple bar. food and service was excellant. overall a great place to stay with exceptional staff. would go back again.

Superb service and location

Every member of staff was polite, friendly and efficient from the moment we arrived when the receptionist didn't hessitate to upgrade our room to river view (f.o.c.). right through to us leaving when another ordered us a taxi to the airport(because he took longer to arrive than she thought he should she took it on herself to chase him up on the phone and stand in the street waiting for him while we relaxed in the lounge)

Morrison

The morrison was a great place to stay as it was right in the centre of dublin, you could easily walk to everything. it is beautiful downstairs with a stunning restaurant. we didn't eat dinner as it was slightly on the expensive side but the breakfast was really good.all the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.we were a little disappointed with the room and the housekeeping. the bathroom was clean but needed a little attention as it was looking a little sad. when we arrived, we had cups and saucers that didn't match and one of the cups had the handle in the saucer. we thought if we left it in a prominent position the maid would replace it but the next day when we came back she had washed the cup, thrown the handle away and put it back on the saucer! the receptionist very quickly sorted it for me. apart from these minor things i would stay here again.
