Great budget hotel

after reading other reviews of this hotel (very bad) i was pleasantly surprised to find it ok, yes the whole place was very tired, but everything was clean, staff friendly, had no television in our room when we arrived, reported it to the reception, and one arrived the next day, great.
the pool was lovely very few people using it, the breakfast was good, and the staff always cleaning tables. and refilling food.
airconditioning was free, which was great as it was very hot, didnt work in the morning but worked when needed afternoon and through the night,. had a great week. you pay for what you get,

Great value if on a budget

I thought the hotel was dated and shabby but great value if you were on a tight budget. our room was clean, in need of a facelift, but that said, the bed was comfortable the cleaners were around every day though somewhat noisy while they went about their work. the walls were a bit thin and it took a couple of days to get used to the noise in the mornings as people headed off to and from breakfast. breakfast was ok , but same menu every day, a fry , a couple of cereals, some cheese. the lay out was a cause for concern, although i ate everthing and had no ill affects from it. in certain parts, the hotel was a bit pongy, due to (so my carpenter husband said) to dampness and age. the staff were very friendly, and the hotel was mainly geared to retired people who were there for long periods as it was very afforable. dinner wasn't great but again it was possible to find something to eat. but dont expect four star quality, and as it's cheap to eat out we did so on a couple of occasions. i dont think i would stay there again unless i was on a very strict budget, but that said we enjoyed the week. as indeed we were mostly out and about, we wern't too bothered about the decor. its what you make of a holiday that counts. definately not suited to young people, but there were a few young people there who were happy with the bargain price. they had a twenty four hour bar which again i think was'nt suitable, given the fact mostly elderly people were staying there. and indeed this caused a few disagreements amongst the residents.
