Noisy neighbours

The occasion of our stay was a little gathering of friends, we used to live together in our youth and have all gone our separate ways and live in different parts of the country. we were all looking forward to this meeting and were excited about meeting up after a long period of time. the hotel was lovely, we were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist and we had no difficulties checking in and found our rooms to be pleasant. there was a noisy racket on our 2nd floor early in the evening, we thought nothing of this but when we retired for the night the noise started up again and went on for hours. there was a small baby in the room next to me, who was also disturbed by the rowdiness and bad behaviour, i felt really bad for those parents trying to sooth a crying baby as i am also a parent. i did complain at the desk when i was leaving.

The bridge hotel, kilkenny

The hotel was perfectly situated in the centre of kilkenny. the rooms were fine though i would have preferred a seperate shower, rather than climbing into the bath. i could not find fault with the cleanliness.

the breakfast was more than adequate, and the staff very efficient.

the only problem i found was that there was a wedding in the hotel, and up until 4am people who had obviously had more than a little to drink, were banging on doors, presumably to wake companions to obtain entrance to their rooms.

i had a single room, and thought the price was a bit expensive, however i would use this hotel again.
