One of the most charming and romantic hotels Prague has to offer, this beautiful and unique 4* hotel is located just minutes walk away from Prague Castle. Housed in a baroque building, the U Krale Karla is intimate and atmospheric and combines a historical facade with modern comforts as the hotel has been fully refurbished internally whilst retaining links with its historical past (it originally started life as a home for Benedictine monks!). The 19 rooms are sympathetically furnished with stylish period furniture, and stained glass windows in the rooms add to the magical atmosphere of this hotel. Guests can dine in the ornately painted restaurant and enjoy the Czech and international cuisine on offer, or simple enjoy a drink in the bar in front of the open fireplace. The hotel's excellent location in the 'lesser town' and easy access to Charles Bridge and down town Prague make the U Krale Karla a wonderful base from which to explore all that Prague has to offer. Originally a Gothic building and part of Benedictine Order, it was rebuilt into the Baroque "House at the Three Roses" in 1639.
