Breathtaking danube views.

An excellent choice for a stay in central budapest on the buda side. it is well worth paying a little extra for a riverside view and the cost is still very reasonable. we had a corner room on floor three which had panoramic views across to pest.

Great location, breakfast & staff

Stayed for 3 nights and booking via hotelsclick.com was cheaper than the hotel's own web site despite a rate guarantee. located on the buda side of the river means you get the superb views of the parliament building which is superb when lit up at night. the location is also very handy for the castle a 15 min walk up the steps from the hotel as well as being within a 100m of angelika kávéház restaurant which has superb location & food. we had a disabled room with a walk in wet room for my disbaled wife as well as a abthroom with shower over the bath. 2 large wardrobes and another with safe and shelves with room for 2 cases between these units plus 2 arm chairs and a table/desk so loads of floor space. firm very comfortable mattresses ( 2 single divans and separate duvets (common practice in continental europe) but unusually with a double matress on the top so no gap. solid walls and doors so minimal noise from outside the room/passing guests. excellent choice of breakfast - with cooked eggs, bacon, etc as well as cold ham, cheese, cereal, yoghurts, fresh fruit, etc. front desk staff are very helpful with information about areas to visit and they kindly lent us an english dk guide to budapest that a previous traveller had left behind. thers is a small gymn in the basement with showers and towels so this area can be used on your last day to freshen up and change if you are on a late afternoon/evening departure.

4 star hotel

Riverview room had excellent view of chain bridge and parliament building with juliet balcony. worth the extra money and very clean. room service was slow. did not eat but breakfast selection looked good. computer always down. reception staff spoke good engish and tried to be helpful. tram stop nearly outside hotel was fun as with a change you could get into centre of pest over liberty bridge. metro 6-7mns walk away, 2 stops to pest centre.

We've just returned from 3 days in budapest and absolutely loved it. the hotel is perfectly situated on the side of the danube and we got a fantastic deal on the room. i would thoroughly recommend the city and the hotel to anyone. bravo.

Art'otel budapest

The art'otel is located in the buda side of budapest, right on the banks of the danube. we had a room at the back of the hotel, so we were facing the castle district, and had a great view of the church. the rooms were really spacious, especially as we had 3 beds, although not quite enough storage space for 3 girls on a weekend away! everything in the hotel was spotlessly clean, and the team on reception were very helpful, making reservations for restaurants for us etc. it is about 10-15minute walk from the hotel to the pest side of budapest, or there is a tram stop right outside the hotel, and taxi's aren't too expensive.

Art'otel

We had a brilliant stay in budapest. the city was beautiful and we were amazed by how many things there were to see and do. the hotel was really reasonably priced especially when compared to the price per night the hotel advertised! the room was slightly unusual in that it had 2 windows that didn't look outside but onto an inner lobby which meant it was hard to cool the room down when it was too hot, but in terms of the furniture and decoration the room was lovely. it was a good size and the shower in the bathroom was so powerful it was like a massage. the lobby and bar area was our favourite part of the hotel, it was so clean and relaxing. there was a good range of bar snacks and the staff were really friendly and obliging. we didn't eat in the restaurant either for dinner or breakfast because as vegetarians we had a better choice in other places. the gym was really small but as there was no one else in it, my boyfriend had a great time! the reception staff were more than willing to help with any questions or directions we needed, as well as recommendations for travelling around. i would strongly recommend using budapest airport transfer for getting to/from the airport. for 18 euros / 4500 florints each way, they pick you up and drop you off as and when you agree, they were really prompt, friendly and were ready and waiting when we arrived. i would also recommend a great little cafe called cafe eclectica which is right opposite the moulin rouge club, a left turning of andrassy a little after the opera house. the food is brilliant!
