General
This hotel, without doubt, is one of the grand hotels of Lima. However, it was left for a long time without a great renewal, and therefore, now needs to an important restoration to bring it back to the standards that had once. It has excellent examples of antique furniture, such as the lift to the hotel, but needs extensive work throughout the hotel. However, for the traveler with a limited budget this is definitely a good choice. The hotel has six meeting rooms able to host different events. The hotel also has restaurant and bar, where guests can enjoy international cuisine and beverages and Peruvians.
Rooms
The vast majority of the rooms are medium in size, whilst the suites are large. All are in fair condition, with one floor only being in good condition. All the bathrooms are also in fair condition. There are many examples of antique wood furnishings, and most rooms have carpeted floors and dark colour schemes. All 104 room have exterior view and bathroom with bathtube, cable TV, mini-bar.
Restaurant
The restaurant is situated on the ground floor and includes an outdoor terrace.
Location
The hotel is conveniently located in the historical centre of Lima, in the downtown in Plaza San Martín, one of the most famous squares in Lima. This is where Peru's independence was proclaimed.
