The Ivory Coast, officially the Republic of Ivory Coast, is a country in Western Europe. It is bordered to the west by Liberia and Guinea to the north by Mali and Burkina Faso, to the east by Ghana and south by the Gulf of Guinea. The capital of Côte d'Ivoire is Yamoussoukro, located to the south of the country.

The climate of Côte d'Ivoire is hot and humid, equatorial on the southern coast, tropical in center, arid in the north. They identified three seasons: from November to March the weather is hot and dry, hot from April to May and from June to October and dry hot and humid. The best time to visit is the dry season, from late November to early April. The country has a large coastal plain that rises from the sea more and more inward until it reaches 500 meters above sea level in the north: it thus form three regions that run parallel to the coast and that is the region of the lagoon, the region tropical forest and savanna region.

The capital Yamoussoukro is located about 230 km north of Abidjan. The city is known for its modern architecture, which are as the presidential palace, flanked by a lake in which wallows a cheerful bunch of sacred crocodiles. Do not miss a visit to the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Paix, built in three years on the model of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, the city is characterized by wide boulevards illuminated often with spaces between them to indicate the unfinished work of creation of a capital.

Other city Abidjan is not to be missed, is not the capital but it is the largest city in the country, still retains a colonial flavor and is often described as the Paris of Africa. The historic center of Africa is rich in tasty restaurants. The Museum of Art showcases the work of artists of the Ivory Coast and other African countries. Worth seeing is also the municipal zoo, cheap and with many animals. Korhogo is located about 500 km north of Abidjan and is the most important city in the north: it is the original home of the people Senoufo, which sells its famous carved wooden objects to the market. Grand-Bassam is a historic city, is a major tourist attraction because of its old colonial homes often abandoned, part of the long list of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012. The most beautiful beaches are found, however, in the west to Grand Bereby, 50 km west of San Pedro and Cassandra. The official language is French, which is spoken by almost the entire population, while the Dioula language is the dialect used in daily transactions.
