The hotel was clean, friendly and well located to the city. the room was small but good enough for my needs. the food in the restaurant was fine also, breakfast was pretty good too. for the money i could not really fault it. the assistant manager david also is one of the hotels major assets...

We chose this hotel "out of the blue" but we are very glad we did so as we could not have found better and at a great price. it was most enjoyable and great value for money - only problem .. .. we had to come home, holiday ended!

Greeted by aoife on reception. we were tired having travelled all day, i booked online and hadn't booked in our baby, i was immediately offered a bigger room while it was at the back of the hotel it was worth the extra walk. the room was spotless and spacious. the bathroom was spacious and double sink was very useful for baby. the resident maintenance man could see we were struggling with our baby gear and immediately helped us and chatted all the way to our room. waitress staff were super. so friendly and helpful and nice to baby. chef kindly whipped up a vegetarian option as we were late and pizza oven turned off. bed very comfy room very quiet so baby slept well. breakfast perfect lots to choose from and chef could be seen to take fresh soda breads from the oven. a foreign guest sitting near the kitchen kept recommending the porridge to the other guests saying it was the best porridge he had ever eaten. again staff excellent. i enjoyed a morning shopping about 15 minute walk with the buggy all down hill a bit longer coming back as all up hill..... waitress kindly gave me bus number just in case. all in all very enjoyable stay good value and definitely will stay again.

Excellent value for our stay in cork city. very helpful and friendly staff at reception. rooms spacious and clean, a wonderful full irish breakfast. we will certainly re visit.

The rooms provided- 104 and 105- were to say least bizarre. for one there was a staircase up and for other a staircase down after using entry doors. more importantly they were situate adjacent to two sets of noisy fans- one for kitchens the other for general air extraction. so we could not open windows. with windows closed the noise still prevented sleeping.essentially these rooms overlooked a well at rear of hotel so there was more noise from staff outside kitchen area. noise from wedding guests in and out of the hotel added to the unsatisfactory nature of stay. if our rooms were discounted, we should have been told reason so we could choose to upgrade.

I have stayed at the ambassador hotel on a few occasions now and i must say that it is a great place for a visit. i travel to cork on business once a month and the hotel is competitively priced, the staff and very friendly and helpful, the food is lovely and the rooms are fantastic.

Westayed over the new year period everything was superb nothing was to much trouble for the friendly staff we even booked a new years eve meal at the hotel on the morning of the event they managed to fit us in the meal was fantastic as was the service we used taxis for our return from town on afew occasions all the taxi drivers said what agood choice of hotel an exellent hotel would recommend it and would def go there again if visiting cork again

We stayed in this hotel over a long weekend in december. the staff and facilities were excellent as was the standard of food. the hotel is located near the city centre although it is up a steep hill. easy to locate by car and from the airport. the location on a hill meant good views across the city from our room

The ambassador is a well run hotel near the city centre. the rooms are large and well appointed. service is very good though the cooked breakfasts could be improved. as the hotel is situated high above the city it is a gentle stroll down but visitors will need to get a taxi back unless they are quite sprightly. good value for the price!
