This resort is not close to much. 100+ km from santa clara airport, small shopping center 15 min walk. relatively quiet, which is what i wanted. frequented by canadian tourists. rooms clean, well maintained pools and grounds. staff friendly. i really had no problems with any aspect of the resort except....the food. every meal in every venue was stone cold. not only distasteful but a health issue. variety decent, restaurant clean, just always cold!!! unfortunately for a resort, a bad review of such a huge aspect of a stay is not good. this is something that has been consistently reported by other reviewers, and fixable by hotel management. my other complaint is the wifi, good when it works, but horrible when it doesn't. very spotty. i would say that this is common in cuba, but this was my 3rd visit to cuba, and i had better luck w the wifi at a meliá in veradero. the wifi at santa clara airport was awesome. so i believe the hotel needs to upgrade their systems there. wifi only available in lobby and 2cuc/hr. ,
