In general a very good hotel

This is of a better standard than most 3 star hotels and the prices are very reasonable unless there is a special event on and you leave booking late. room was good and of an adequate size. although some people said the rooms were small, they were probably bigger than most rooms i have stayed in in london. everything was spotlessly clean. i was impressed with the welcome we got from osama at reception. also, we got checked in around 12:30 with no problem at all. free wifi worked instantly. the only small complaint was that the lights in one of the rooms (we had booked two) didn't work properly. the bedside main lights and spots were not operating separately, so when i wanted to read, my husband had to have his lights on too. also the desk light wouldn't work. the other grouse was that although all the hotels were full to bursting point because of the rolling stones concert, there was no special provision for all those hungry and thirsty people they knew would be crowding back at around 11:30. i am sure it was the same for all the hotels in the complex, as we strolled to two other hotels around 11:30 searching for somewhere to have a snack. all we wanted was a sandwich, salad or baked potato, not a full meal. even in the sister hotel next door (the rotana), the 'pub' was so crowded it was difficult to even enter. when we decided to just call room service at about 11:45, it was about 5 minutes before anyone answered and even then he said they were very busy, so it would take about 35 minutes. i think the c-deli where you can get sandwiches and snacks, closed at 11:30 as many other reviews have said, this is of a better standard than most 3 star hotels and the prices are very reasonable unless there is a special event on and you leave booking late. room was good and of an adequate size. although some people said the rooms were small, they were probably bigger than most rooms i have stayed in in london. everything was spotlessly clean. i was impressed with the welcome we got from osama at reception. also, we got checked in around 12:30 with no problem at all. the only small complaint was that the lights in one of the rooms (we had booked two) didn't work properly. the bedside main lights and spots were not operating separately, so when i wanted to read, my husband had to have his lights on too. also the desk light wouldn't work. the other grouse was that although all the hotels were full to bursting point because of the rolling stones concert, there was no special provision for all those hungry and thirsty people they knew would be crowding back at around 11:30. i am sure it was the same for all the hotels in the complex, as we strolled to two other hotels around 11:30 searching for somewhere to have a snack. i think the only place open for food was the bar, when all we wanted was a sandwich, salad or baked potato. even in the sister hotel next door, the 'pub' was so crowded it was difficult to even enter. when we decided to just call room service at about 11:45, it was about 5 minutes before anyone answered and even then he said they were very busy, so it would take about 35 minutes. i think the c-deli where you can get sandwiches and snacks, closed at 11:30 even though on the hotel website, it says it is open 24 hours. we ended up going to bed hungry - even the fridge was empty - no mini bar so not even a bag of crisps or some nuts available. the hotel complex is isolated and there are no shops at all so it is advisable to bring a few snacks with you. or at least, we weren't told by room service that we could get something there. we ended up going to bed hungry - even the fridge was empty - no mini bar so not even a bag of crisps or some nuts available. the hotel complex is isolated and there are no shops at all so it is advisable to bring a few snacks with you. the superb breakfast somewhat made up for the food problem the night before. i would stay here again but i would bring my own provisions!
