Cheap and cheerful

The carter is not the most expensive hotel in fact it is very cheap. my friend and myself have stayed at the carter every time we have been to new york (this is the 11th time i have stayed there and this is the first year that i have gone myself)and it has always been very convenient for time square and the other attractions that of manhattan.

if you expect luxury do not go to the carter but the most important thing for me is that the bed linin is clean and that there is plenty of hot water to shower.

Hotel madness

I only stay at this hotel beacuase it near the bus station . i have to say staying at this hotel was a nightmare . the room that i had was real nice until later on that nioght i had a party to go to and the shower didn,t work ,i was pissed. i went back down to the lobby and explain to the person at the front desk and he didn,t believe me. so the hotel clerk went upto the room which was on the 21 floor. when i turn on the shower and he saw the water not running out he said ican,t do nothing for you . so i went back to the lobby and gave me a room on the 5 floor. the room was ugly but the shower work , but the tv only had three channel working. the next day saturday i was at my convention till about 4.00pm and i went up to my room and my key card didn,t work they lock me out again back to the front desk and they un lock my key card . all in all i can say the stay was not good . i think they owe me a free weekend stay for all that

Yowza

If you ever wish to kill a hooker this is the place to do it.

i will say this - met a few eastern european kids that seemed very happy staying here. makes me wonder just how bad the hotels in the former soviet bloc are.

You get what you pay for.

We didn't go to new york to sit in a posh hotel all day, if that's what your looking for, do not stay here. if you want somewhere to sleep and shower then this is the place for you, bed linen was clean but take your own towels. excellent location, right on times square and next to the port authority bus terminal.

Cheap and cheerful

If you are looking for comfort and luxury, you will not find it here. the carter hotel, the beds are clean, the water is hot and no bed bugs. the hotel is ideally situated and the best price you will get in that location as long as you are not expecting 5 star service. this is the ninth year my friend and i have stopped there and look forward to going back again next year.

Cheap and cheerful!

The hotel was nothing to write home about but it has all you need. rooms are clean/tidy and secure, reception are helpful and there is a shop on the ground floor open 24 hours which is really handy (they make burgers and chips at 5:30am awesome!). for the price this is a great place to stay with a great location i would not recommend it to the queen but would to all my freinds and would definitly stay again.
