Exterior

This small, now-modern hotel, is steeped in rich history with over 75 years of accommodating both famous and illustrious guests such as Marlon Brando, Erroll Flynn, Gabriela Mistral and Nobel Literature Prize winner Juan Ramon Jimenez. The building\'s construction began in 1925 and was finished in 1928. From the beginning the building was conceived to be operated as a hotel by it\'s owner Manuel Fajardo Prieto. The buildings architectural style is neo-colonial, typical of the era in which it was built. It consisted of 5 stories, featuring a total of 35 rooms, all with private bathrooms. The first floor housed several meeting rooms. The main entrance at Calle 19 has not changed since the early days of the hotel.
