Manhattan highlight

As we were in transit to Long Island from the UK this is a great connection for Penn Station. Fabulaous NY feeling to the reception with typical art deco style of the period. The lifts were effecient and rarely wait required. Rooms well furnished with basic kitchenette although small bathrooms. The air conditioning is not state of art and on both stays the rooms overlooked deep "light well" with intrusive neighbours. Lift lobbies were getting a face lift and although clean were tired looking. Great staff and very helpfull.

we have just returned from a long weekend in the Affinia, Manhattan. Everything in the hotel was first class but the outside noise was constant and the bright screen from Madison Square Gardens went off at midnight and came back on at 6am. I think the noise is only to be expected when you're in the centre but on our first visit I didnt expect it. It wouldnt put me off staying at the Affinia as we had a great time. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble.
