Lobby
The lobby and public areas of the hotel feature exquisite fresco artwork by Italian artist Giovanni Smeradi, of Vatican and White House fame, which captures the opulent style of the 1920s.
Exterior
Famed New York architects Schultze and Weaver designed the hotel in the Spanish-Italian Renaissance style to reflect the Castilian heritage of California.

The hotel offers 683 elegant, newly renovated guestrooms, of which, 33 are specialty rooms that offer modern amenities for physically challenged guests. The rooms are equipped with wireless high-speed Internet access (fee), satellite TV with pay per view movies, telephone, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, coffeemaker with tea and coffee.
