Good choice for a short break in London. The hotel was very well placed for accessing public transport and only five minutes walk from the Tower of London. The hotel was very clean and well equiped and the staff were very helpfull.

First impression would suggest this is a cracking hotel. The reception staff were very helpful and on the rooms are great. Spotlessley clean and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is very acceptable and there is nothing more you need from a hotel for a weekend in London. Unfortunately you really do need to stay in town if you require any refreshments in the evening. We were advised that the bar would close at midnight however after a long day on Saturday we returned around 10:30pm for a relaxing drink in the bar. The very rude and abrupt female bar tender closed the bar at 11pm and insisted we leave by 11:10pm at the latest. Also beware that they will charge you an additional supplement for breakfast - what seems to be included in the bed and breakfast price is a very limited continental breakfast and if you require anything else you have to pay. Even when you do pay extra the breakfast is served luke warm at best. The plus point for this hotel is its location as it is only a 5 minute walk from a tube station giving easy access to anywhere in the city.

This Hotel came right up to expectations, as per trip advisor comments. Our only complaint were the lack of clothing hangers in the bathroom and a noisey air/con (intermittent)However this is a VG hotel with good food and good tube and rail links nearby .Will certainly stay there again and recommend The Chamberlain
Great Hotel

Angela - Preston, UNITED KINGDOM - 11/22/2009
Room nicely furnished/decorated, extremely comfy bed & nice bathroom, all extremely clean & tidy. Felt less impersonal, more individual than the big group hotels. Worried may be noisy over pub but it wasn't, apart from hotel residents the clientelle were office workers so no late night revellers! A number of bars/restaurants in immediate area but be warned, all closed weekends & bank hols! Continental buffet breakfast excellent with plenty of choice. Pub/restaurant meals also good, sweets rather pricy. Easy 5 mins walk from Aldgate tube station & various bus stops along Minories. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent hotel, well located for the underground - 2 stops very close to the hotel and there are many good restaurants and bars within 5 minutes of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are excellent. We have stayed in the hotel twice and the staff have been so friendly and helpful that it has enhanced our stay. We will definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family!
