As a guest in the atmospheric setting of our medieval castle, we do not expect you to accept medieval living conditions! All of our bedchambers are tastefully furnished in period style, have central heating, tea and coffee making facilities, telephones and en-suite bath or shower rooms. Please note that bedchambers do not have televisions or radios.
The Hotel Borthwick Castle is perfect for who wants to travel by car. The property is fully equipped with a conference room.
The hotel provides either its own car park or a nearby one with a special agreement; being not included in the room price, for a paid parking the payment have to be carried out directly on the spot.

Booked hotel stay on website and emailed the hotel manager requesting the mary queen of scots room. received confirmation from the manager. this was done over 7 months before stay!!! upon our arrival, the room was occupied and we had to stay in another room. the reason that we booked this hotel was to stay in this particular room. what could have been a nice stay was ruined by the ineptness of the manager and apparent lack of ability to properly schedule confirmed room requests. very disappointed!!
hotel itself is very interesting filled with strong historical ties. has a b&b feel and allows for interaction with other guests.
