DO NOT STAY HERE

This is without a doubt the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
The corridors are filled with building materials and electrical cables are loose falling from the ceclings. The lift moved with the doors open!
The room was bad - there was a long black hair in the bed and BULLET hole in the window! The radiator was on so hot when we return to our room after an evening out it was too hot to sleep in.
A man came up to repair it but couldn’t, said that they would turn down the boiler, by 1am it was so bad we had to move room.
They then only had a twin room available – in which the lights didn’t work and the TV was hanging off the wall, by this point I had given up complaining. So I called it a night and slept on a BROKEN bed.
The breakfast was toast, severed in the hotel lobby next to the front doors – not good!
On leaving the hotel, we explained to the man all the events that had taken place and that we were VERY unhappy with our stay - he did not apologise at all... and said 'I will write it down, good bye'
Please do not part with any money to stay at this shambles of a hotel. the website should not even offer it as an option

The hotel is in a good location not too far away from central birmingham (10 min drive).
room was ok, nothing special, but clean and tidy. It was a little noisy during the night, weekend crowds outside I guess.
Breakfast included in the price was buffet and was good (hot food etc)
on the whole not a bad place to stay, cheap and cheerful but a little noisy at night.

Shabby, unclean and a dump! From the outside you think "ok a bit in need of a lick of paint but give it a go" then at reception you are greeted by not very helpful or polite staff but hey everone has a bad day. Then you make your way up to your room and you start to think maybe I should of paid an extra £6 and stayed 2 hotels down.Although the room was clean, the carpet was stained, it smelt stale and the curtains didn't fit the window.A very small room and the bathroom was tiny.I would never stay in this hotel again.Fire alarms going off from people smoking in there room, half naked people roaming the corridors and a steady stream of ploice cars coming to and from the hotel is not what I was expecting. If you are just looking for a place to put your head down for the night cheaply this hotel is for you but my advise is stay 2 hotels up!!!!
Disappointed

Barbara - Worcester Park, UNITED KINGDOM - 03/15/2010
Our 'non smoking' room stunk of smoke and after requesting a move, we were told the hotel was full. The front desk said he would bring up some air freshener which never appeared. I did mention it again on the way out...it really was not very clean at all. Sad, as we stay every year and this was not good. Also the breakfast room was so crowded with badminton people , they ran out of plates, cutlery , food etc and were completely overwhelmed........
No Sleep

Woken up at 3:00 am by very noisy guests in the corridor and going between rooms. After 30 minutes. Asked them to quiet but did not stop. Phoned reception and asked them to sort it out but nobody came up. went on until 5:00 am, phoned reception again who could not be bothered to sort in out. Finally got to sleep at 6:00 am. The room was also a bit grotty.

The hotel room had no cold water, and the toilet could not flush, we asked for assistance but they could not do anything, as the hotel wass fully booked, we asked for a refund, but they would not return our money as it was booked through hotelsclick and we did not pay the hotel directly, one of the rooms I booked for two friends, the barhroom was really dirty and had dark yellow staining and we were afraid of standing in the bath to have a shower.

This hotel was perfect for our one night stay, standard basic room, clean and comfortable although bed a little squeaky, very well priced and well located to town centre. Lovely modern looking bar, Good service resturant, food lovely. If your seeking plush then stay at a 5 star hotel, with this hotel you get what you paid for clean friendly and basic, No complaints.
