The hotel was built in 1993 and renovated in 2001. It has a total of 314 rooms on 6 floors of which 276 are doubles, 14 are singles and 24 are suites. There is a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange desk and a lift. The hotel is superbly equipped with a café, a bar, a theatre room, an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant with a separate non-smoking area, a conference room and Internet access. Furthermore, room and laundry services are available as well as car parking facilities and a garage.
The hotel is located just 300 yards from the port, a short walk away from the Olympic Stadium on the Montjuich hill and next door to the famous Ramblas and Barcelona historical centre. It is ideally located and within easy reach of all parts of the city. There is a metro station on its door step (El Paralelo). The Olympic Village and its beaches are just over a mile away, and the airport is only 4 miles away and 5 minutes' walking distance from the Plaza de Espanya.

The lobby is spacious, with marble floors and comfortable armchairs in soft green, matching the colour of the reception area and its columns.

Exterior

This is a very modern building, with a green and yellow facade. Its corner location boasts a beautiful design, especially the detail on the top balconies and the top cornice balustrade.

Rooms

The rooms are medium sized, with light blue decorations. They are simple but offer all conveniences, including telephone, mini-bar, air conditioning and satellite TV.

Restaurant

The restaurant offers an extensive selection of international cuisine, along with typical Catalan dishes. The hotel also has a cafeteria-bar offering snacks and daily menus.

Tired

Only spent 1 night here (thankfully) this is a clean hotel, but getting seriously tired. nothing has changed since the 70's! there's a theatre and casino built into it. the area is a little seedy, but the metro is next to the entrance for a quick getaway.
