We spent 4 nights at GBB Auto Hogar and found it a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Our room was very spacious and clean, beds really comfortable. The only downside is that it is on a very busy and therefore noisy road that never seems to quieten down all night, but after having spent all day and evening walking for miles we were so exhausted that we still managed to sleep through exhaustion. The hotel is in central Barcelona, on the road parallel to La Rambla, with the metro station only a minute away from the hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
I honestly cannot recommend this hotel to anybody

Some of the staff at reception don't work seriously at all. We were given a different kind of room than booked. The quality of the building is actually poor and any action of other guests is too clearly heard, e.g. using the toilet, sneezing or just locking the door at the opposite side of the floor sounds like if in your very room. So, guess about conversations and other private things!
Quality of breakfast is even worse, and there aren't enough tables in the breakfast room so many people had to queue for long.
As a leaving detail: on the last night I asked in reception if it was possible to call a cab next morning: they assured me they'd book it during the night and the taxi would be there at 6.30. Next morning, the guy at the desk not only hadn't call the cab but also felt offended and tried to convince me it was better that way (???). We almost missed the flight.
Location is great, thou.
