The lobby is large with limited seating. There is also a small bar adjacent, which is very popular with in-house guests but is only open in the late afternoon and evenings.
Exterior
The exterior of this building is very traditional as it consists of typical Dutch townhouses which are all so familiar in Amsterdam city centre.
Rooms
The rooms are also small and are decorated in either pink or apple green in modern style. They are not furnished with especially expensive materials, but they are comfortable. The bathrooms are small, simple and up-to-date.

There is no restaurant apart from the small breakfast room, but meals can be arranged on request.

Good clean hotel breakfast was good excellent location close to all the best places. Single room a bit small but friends had a massive double room...if i returned i would pay the extra for a double

great location but 120 euros was too expensive for a triple room. room was very cramped & should be no more than a twin room.

We stayed here for our weekend break and it is a great location, 5 mins walk from the station if that and is an ideal base. The hotel was clean and well kept. Our room was small but was fine for our 3 night stay. The breakfast was a good selection, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, croissants, bacon, egg, sausages etc and set you up nicely for the day.

Very well received at reception. Arrived early and even though we were not to get our room till 2pm the receptionist looked after us straight away. Very friendly staff. Security at a premium and was very impressive. Ideal location for visitors to the city. Central and near the train station.

We enjoyed our stay in the Avenue Hotel Amsterdam, The rooms were very nice, they were bright with the big windows, the television was right for us because it could recieve English Programs, the hotel was just right for the centre of Amsterdam, the breakfast was very good and you had a good choice ,the only thing we found fault with was that we are used to Tea and coffee facilities in the rooms
