Great location, bad customer service

Great location a block away from san marco square. very small rooms. they don't change your sheets on a daily basis, or clean the room... they just replace towels. breakfast is very marginal, with toast, meat, cheese and cereal. they recommended a ridiculously expensive restaurant the first day. however, they did put us on a free tour to see murano (the glass making island). however, we shortly found out that we were there as bait to buy very over priced and mismarked items. i would not stay here again, but am happy i did because of the excellent location and amazing surroundings.

Three wet days in venice

Excellent value and service from the hotel, clean and friendly. bars and restaurants very expensive. 7 euro for a pint! restaurants around st marco advertise menu del giorno in the evening and it is not available - just a lure to get you inside. when the sun shines you see the beauty of venice (and the crowds even in january).
