This hotel is composed of 76 rooms, 4 of which are "junior suite", the other one are single, double and triple. The rooms all furnished with elegant style, from the parquet to the curtains, are equipped of every comfort: conditioned air, frigo-bar, telephone and tv. Rooms are sunny, elegantly furnished with woodden floors, beautiful fabrics and nice views of the surrounding hills and vineyards. They are equipped with all the modern comforts and together with the bathrooms they are in excellent condition. Twin rooms are arranged with 2 french beds.
Restaurant
The great hall of the restaurant is cozy and accuracy in details and hosts every morning a rich American breakfast buffet for all guests. For lunch and dinner the restaurant is reserved for groups and events.

I have used this Hotel for the past 4 years due to the proximity to Ciampino Airport.The staff are friendly,the rooms are a good size and clean and the breakfast is very good indeed.The only complaint I have is that this year I couldn't have an evening meal because I wasn't part of a group--a new policy the hotel has adopted from the start of 2011.This was a bit of a disappointment after a long 5 hour drive from Calabria. The local Trattoria,although excellent,is along a very dangerous road with regards to traffic volume---one stumble in the dark could be your last! This is a bit inconvenient but ,other than this,I have no complaints about Hotel Excel.

Great location for catching early fight from Ciampino Airport. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy 20 minute drive into Rome visitor attractions (parked at the Coloseum) 10 minute drive to aiport.

This is the third time we have stayed here. As ever the hotel is very clean, with friendly staff. It's very convenient for access to Rome Ciampino airport, and also for exploring the area in and around Rome, as well as for the local area and going further afield.
The rooms are spacious and well appointed .. the only comment I would make is that the shower cubicles are very small and perhaps a little 'tired', which is a shame as the bathrooms are otherwise very well presented and equipped. The hotel has been undergoing some changes since it was bought over the year before last, and the biggest improvement we noticed this year is the quality and standard of the complimentary Continental breakfast .. a really good and plentiful array of food on offer. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Nice hotel, not easy to find but only 10 minutes from Ciampino airport.

The hotel is very nice and is 4 star, especially in the new accommodation block. The staff are very nice but don't provide a 4 srar service. I feel that they should be more responsive to requests. Our air conditioning was not working, the safe had been left in the locked position by the previous occupants and neither of these isssues were dealt with.
Having said that I will be staying again but send the staff on a customer service course and explain what 4 star means. The hotel is not particulary easy to find and the address of Marino is very misleading. It is actually very good value for money, especially when booked through hotelsclick.

Stayed here for 2 nights on my way home from Calabria.Hotel is handy for access to Ciampino Airport. The staff are very helpful, speak good English and are really pleasant. The rooms are clean and well furnished.A 6 euro ticket gives access to Rome and can be used on bus,metro and trams for a full day---great value.The Hotel has a free courtesy bus and leaves for the airport at 0800, 1000 and 1200 hrs--this has to be booked the night before travel.

Excellent location, as only 10 minutes from Ciampino Airport. The new owners have built an additional building housing superb suites. We were lucky to be upgraded to one at the beginning of our stay in Italy, and found it to be superb.
The rooms in the original building though require a little more attention as we discovered on our return stay two weeks later on the last night of our trip .. the appointments are absolutely fine, however there was no hot water in the shower, and the door of the shower enclosure itself didn't close properly. Other than that, we had no other complaints. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast more than adequate, and the standard of the rest of the hotel is really good. Wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again.

This hotel is not the easiest to find but it is worth finding. It is only about 6 kilometers fron Ciampino airport and is easy to get to if you know the way but don't go looking in Marino because it is not there. Come out of the airport and turn left and follow the road for Anzio, stay on this road for about 6 Kilometers and it is on your right, blink and you will miss the entrance.
The hotel is really nice, very clean with very friendly and helpful staff, it is`now called the Excel Roma formerly called the Dei Consoli. So if asking for directions from the locals, if you get blank looks for the Excel Roma, try Dei Consoli. This was my third stay here and it is very good. This is the second time I have used this Hotel and I am hoping to use it another twice this year when I return to Italy in June and September. It is convenient for Ciampino Airport.The staff at Reception are very helpful and speak good English. The staff in the Dining Room are very pleasant, the food is good and not too expensive.

Stayed overnight on the 25/3/09 at this hotel. No problems at all when I submitted my hotelclick.com voucher.
Room booked was a single which was exceptionally clean and modern.
Buffet breakfast had plenty of choice. Hotel transported me back to the airport at Ciampino for 5 euros which was great as the taxi to the hotel cost 28 euros.
