I had stayed in this hotel about 10 years ago and wanted to try it again. I had remembered it as being broadly OK. In short, it's cheap and close to the station - that's about it. The lobby is dingy and has poker machines in it - an instant turnoff. I arrived very late (around 2.30 a.m) and there were actually people playing them. Reception was helpful and the room was clean but spartan. In particular, no air conditioning so I suffered through a 35 degree Milanese night. Worse still, this hotel doesn't answer any emails in my experience, as I tried 3 times to organise an early breakfast since I had a train early that morning. No go - this really pissed me off.
