Treated Terribly!
Average: 1.9/5
Luke - Glasgow, UNITED KINGDOM - 11/30/2011
Our 3 night stay in Paris was almost ruined by the complete mistreatment this hotel inflicted upon us. Issues with overbookings lead to us being treated like animals. Through the staffs' diabolical attempts to solve the problems that arose as a result of the initial overbooking mistake we left the hotel feeling dejected, bitter and extermely upset. Never again will we use this particular hotel or its affliates!!! Worst customer service ever encountered!!!

Cosy boutique hotel in Montmartre.
Small room. We were allocated in the ground floor therefore was noisy.
Average staff and breakfast.
Overall, not much impressed with this hotel. I will be looking for another one on my next return to Paris.

the hotel was excellent value for 3star.
location in montmarter was 1st class, definatley the best area in paris.
we were in room 44 which was small but adequate and very clean.
the only thing that we would have liked is some form of air conditioning in the room.
breakfast was good with the choice of cheeses, pastries, bread, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, eggs, tea and coffee again very well presented and clean.
the breakfast room was really hot so again air conditioning would have been a benefit.
All in all we had a great stay at the Des Arts and would return on our next visit to paris withour hesitation.
Disappointing

Upon arrival we were told there was good news and bad news. Bad news was no room available for the first night. Good news was alternative hotel room arranged, prepaid with free taxi transfers and also room upgrade for nights 2 & 3. No apology was given. We had booked and prepaid six months in advance. Our room (31) turned out to be on the 3rd floor facing the street. It was very noisy so we had to keep the window closed which was unpleasant as it was very hot.
Great stay, lovely staff

Hotel Des Arts was a great find. The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities very clean. After we had checked out of the hotel, my boyfriend was really ill due to food poisoning (definitely not from the hotel but from another restaurant). With nowhere else to go, we returned to the hotel and the staff were fantastic. They helped us in every way thinkable and made the situation much more bearable. Thanks so much to HDA for finding us medicine, a place to stay (no more room at HDA), helping to change flights etc.

Hotel in good location near metro, bars, restaurants and sights. Very clean and well decorated, our room was at the back and was very quiet and relaxing. The only problem was the bathroom, the bath was about 4' long which in itself isn't a problem as we normally use the shower but the shower was just a shower head on a tap fitting. The toilet was crammed in facing the bath and as my husband is 6'2" he struggled to sit on it. Would also have been nice to have tea & coffee making facilities
Perfect break!

Extremely friendly & friendly staff. Room had a fantastic view over Montmartre towards the Eiffel Tower, was a good size and very clean. No complaints at all & hope to return many times!

This is our second visit to this attractive and very clean hotel in the Montmartre district. Last time we got an upgrade to a more superior room and loved it. This time we had a standard room and still felt it was superb value for money. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the staff very polite and everything is great if you want your own holiday, to do what you want when you want. Its very well placed for a gentle walk to Place du Tertre, Sacre Coeur or any of the numerous Montmartre sites. Not too far down the hill is the Blanche metro giving you access to the whole of Paris and beyond. And the bars on Rue Des Abbesses in particular are great to just laze away the nights and days come to that! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this great little hotel.
Moderate!!

Nothing overly bad with this hotel but equally nothing that great either. The reception area is lovely, as is the breakfast area, although you are well squashed in! The breakfast itself is very basic. Also the room we had was small as well. All in all I wouldn't go back to this hotel.
