great location a block away from san marco square. very small rooms. they don't change your sheets on a daily basis, or clean the room... they just replace towels. Breakfast is very marginal, with toast, meat, cheese and cereal. They recommended a RIDICULOUSLY expensive restaurant the first day. However, they did put us on a free tour to see Murano (the glass making island). However, we shortly found out that we were there as bait to buy very over priced and mismarked items. I would not stay here again, but am happy i did because of the excellent location and amazing surroundings.

Excellent value and service from the hotel, clean and friendly. Bars and restaurants very expensive. 7 euro for a pint! Restaurants around St Marco advertise Menu del giorno in the evening and it is not available - just a lure to get you inside. When the sun shines you see the beauty of Venice (and the crowds even in January).

There was some building work going on starting about 0830 but as we were there for a short time we were up and out without too much inconvenience.

The hotel is ideally located just off St. Marks Square. The rooms are comfortable but the temperature was very hot. It is good when coming in from the outside but too hot during the night. The problem was that the room temperature couldn't be adjusted.
Some refurbishment work was also underway but it did not effect our stay as the workers and management were very considerate of the clients.
All in all a worthwhile stay and ideally located for the sight seeing.

Inside temperature was too hot and room temperature could not be adjusted
