I knew the hotel having stayed there in various occasion.

Nous étions un peu inquiets à la lecture des commentaires, mais nous avons finalement été plutôt satisfaits. Le petit déjeuner est tout à fait correct, il faut juste éviter de se trouver dans la salle en même temps qu'un groupe. Chambres un peu vieillottes. Le service pourrait être amélioré de même que l'accueil. A noter une petite salle de fitness avec quelques appareils et une vue superbe sur Bruxelles.

my stay in this hotel was awful.I was in room620. It was cold with no heating Thr a/c unit blasted out cold air, the windows streamed with waterand were not soundproof to outside noises. The wall around the window was black with damp. After complaining I was informed that there were no other rooms available and the reception desk personel gave the 'I couldn't care attitude.

This is our 3rd time @ this hotel. It may just have been bad luck because our previous stays have been acceptable to excellent. Reception was unfriendly, pedantic , downright unhelpful when it came to parking our car. The room (103) was very small (not a problem as we only slept there), dark due to weather/season narrow 'shaft' outlook and grey (possibly age/dirt) curtains. Made it a very 'grey' experience. The bath had a sharp rust hole by the overflow (serious health hazzard), tiles had brown mold and the floor was sticky on arrival. After contacting reception, housekeeping was quick to appear but just dismissed it as no problem (the mold), it's the cleaning liquid we use (the sticky floor) and the hole in the bath was explained as 'the recession'. No 'Do Not Disturb' hangers for the doors which means the the maids start knocking on the door from 07:30 onwards. An issue also on previous stays, highlighted to housekeeping every time. Considering the price preformance it is still good value apart from the 'bathroom experience'.

Hotel and staff were okay. No problem at all. Possibility to leave luggages before check-in and after check-out. Good quality breakfast buffet. It gets very busy during the week for business.

 

 

Nothing to complain about. A nice, clean hotel, and breakfast was excellent.

Free WiFi access would've been nice, though.

 

 

Hôtel très correct, avec une prestation satisfaisante. Cependant, il faut déplorer l'isolation phonique des chambres (ce que fait le voisin ne nous concerne pas..)et la literie gagnerait à être changée: les matelas sont très, très mous!La chambre autrement était très bien.
Rien à dire sur l'accueil et les petits déjeuners. les 2*2 repas pris au resaturant de l'hôtel étaient très corrects, avec un service courtois, efficace et souriant. Par contre, est-il légitime de devoir parler anglais avec l'hôtesse d'accueil samedi soir 03/11/07?

Very good location within walking distance from Grande Place. Small but adequate rooms.

 

 

The welcome was nice, and I was surprised when I found a large and well equipped room, with two beds, while I had a single room. The air perfume was terrible however. I turned the machine off and opend the window, which was possible because the (backside) street was quiet. The large breakfast was very nice and the atmosphere in the restaurant welcoming again. Whe I entered through the Rue du Midi at night it was the perfect place to be, but in the daytime this street is one of the best in Brussels. So I had a nice stay.
