I am now wondering how does a 4 stars hotel look in Belgium !
I booked for a no-smoking bedroom but they did not take notice of this although some where free but not renovated (so old and not clean).The entrance and the lobby should be renovated too. The renovated smooking room I received had a big refrigerator in the entrance which took all the space and there was a big cigarette hole in the bedhead.
Anyway the girl at the reception was very helpful and the location is very central and next to the metro station.

Ideal location for a short weekend break. Hotel central to shopping, plaza Mayor and only a couple of minutes to Sol metro station.
Take care using the metro as one of our party had her purse stolen from a zipped bag and spent about three hours reporting it at the police station.
Do the Madrid Vision bus tour, well worth the money to see the city.

Comfortable and clean hotel in excellent location. As Madrid is still fully awake in the early hours, I found the police sirens, cars tooting, and some shouting stopped me from sleeping, so better double glazing would have helped. I cured the problem 100% with earplugs (and wine) second night! Try higher up rooms if this worries you - we were 6th floor out of 8. If you plan to disco to dawn, then no worries! Never tried the gym. Breakfast pretty good. Tiny lifts too cosy for most (but who cares?).

Some noise at night in central Madrid is probably inevitable.

We stayed at the Best Western Arosa for three nights. I looked for a hotel that was in the centre of the city and I could not have picked better. The hotel was in the middle of everything, we were suprised of how close everything was.

We were impressed with the hotel, but we would class it as a good three star as it was missing a little something for the four stars. We found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and in a great location. The hotel staff were very helpful. The breakfast was included in our price and was very nice, although I would not have paid 13 euro's for it.

I had a small single (standard) room, which was a 3 star hotel room like,but it had the safe and mini bar, which wasn't open. They open it upon request.
It was clean and quiet. The location is very conveniant.
I am definitely coming back to this hotel for this price and I can recommand it to my friends.

Very nice hotel with phantastic location close to town center.
Pity is that our window could not be closed firmly (trafic noise from Gran Via and cold temperature at night were a bit of a problem).

Window is not sound-proof and metal frame gives feeling of cold temperature. Renovation highly recommended.

Pienso que es un hotel de cuatro estrellas que no llega a ofrecer las características de un hotel de esa categoría por el estado de cierto deterioro en el que se encuentran las habitaciones, necesitadas de una renovación y, sobre todo, eliminación de la desgastada moqueta. Desayuno correcto y relajado con excelentes vistas de la Gran Vía.
