We chose this hotel because it was recommended by our travel agent and the location was ideal,everything was close by,the restaurants,shopping,vapporetto,etc.They did not have any tissues(kleenex) in the room,so they should provide that.We had two bookings one from 22nd may to 24th may and the other from 31st may to 2nd june.Despite having confirmed reservation paid for in advance,they were fully booked from 22nd may to 24th may and turned us maway to their sister hotel near san marco hotel l'opera which was quite good but caused lot of hardship especially as we had flown almost 14 hours to get to venice.

My friend and i recently returned from a trip to venice, which was made even better because of our stay at the carlton Grand hotel. We were warmly welcomed and given information and trip advice. The rooms were very comfortable and the location excellent. The evening meal in the restaurant was really good and served with friendly banter from the restaurant manager 'Felipe'

The hotel was ideally located a few minutes walk from piazale Roma where our coach stopped.It stands overlooking the grande canal giving you excellent views and transport links around venice. The room was a little small for a 4 star hotel but in good condition and comfortable. You had to accept the price tag was based around the location and standard of rest of hotel rather than a basic room! The staff were very helpful and the breakfast (cold buffet) had a good selection.
