The main part of the hotel traces back as far as 1930. Two other buildings, "Villa Morea" and "Casa Pradel" complete the hotel accommodations offer. The different parts of the hotel are all connected by a covered gallery and a wide and relaxing garden. Other services available on request: fax, fotocopies and e-mail service; baby sitting; cots; private boat transfer to and fro the centre. The main building is all decorated in a typical Liberty style, Villa Morea is at the same time modern and original, while Casa Pradel offers an elegant Venetian style, with original pieces of furniture.

Location

Villa Mabapa is located in Venice on one of the tips of the Lido Island, in San Nicolò, a spot renowned for its balisica bearing the same name, which was built in the seventeenth century on some thirteenth century remains, for the sixteenth century old starlike fortress which was once the fortified access to the city and for the old jewish cemetery of special historical and artistic interest.

Exterior

Leaving the hotel, after some hundred meters, you reach the beach with a private Villa Mabapa area equipped with beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs, from where you have free access to a large zone, full of natural beautiful dunes and strewn with spontaneous vegetation of naturalistic interest. The beach ends close to the San Nicolò dam, the rampart which fix the boundaries of Venice port. A very interesting promenade through the intact nature where you can also ride a bycicle. Infact the byke is the right means for discovering the island. The small roads among bridges and water-ways will lead you to discover the Liberty style villas spread all over the island or the Alberoni pine-wood and the Malamocco village, where the famous designer Hugo Pratt lived for many years. Do not forget to go for a hike discovering the fascinating Murazzi, near the sea, the kitchen gardens and the old fortifications which have been the witnesses of any historical phase, built by the Serenissima to stop the Lagoon flood and to protect itself from the high- tide. For the sport lovers you will find the Alberoni Golf Club near the hotel with an18 hole field of international level, a riding school with a covered riding-ground and sand and grass fields, the Sporting Club Cà del Moro with a swimming pool, tennis yards and a gym: all places where the Villa Mabapa's guests are treated with particular care. The hotel has its own landing-place and a motor-boat for transfers to the city and the Lagoon or for excursions. After a short ferry-boat crossing you can reach San Pietro in Volta and Pellestrina, small islands famous for the abundance of naturalistic habitats, still intact and for their fish restaurants very appreciated both by the Venetians and even the most hard to please tourists. Anyway Venice is always there at 10 minutes by motor-boat just for a sunset aperitive.
