Room Service: The guests at Grand Hotel Mediterraneo can call the room service for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The room service is available every day from 7 am to 12 pm. Breakfast in the rooms is served from 7,30 am to 11 am (price: 6 €). Laundry Service: Our laundry service collects and delivers your laundry within the day, and can be contacted through the reception desk. The floor housekeeper will take care of your service. Suits will be delivered by 12 am on the next day, except on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Meals Information - Arno Restaurant The Arno Restaurant is on the ground floor, with access from the main hall. Breakfast is served from 7 am to 10 am. Lunch is served from 12 am to 2.30 pm. Dinner is served from 7 pm to 10 pm. Reservations welcome. Meals Information - Fiesole Restaurant The Fiesole Restaurant is on the ground floor, with access from the corridor next to the reception desk. Breakfast is served from 7 am to 9 am. Lunch is served from 12 am to 2.00 pm. Dinner is served from 7 pm to 9 pm. The taverna: The Taverna is on the ground floor, with access down the steps at the end of the corridor next to the reception desk. The Taverna is at your full disposal for your business lunches, celebrations and gala dinners, in a quiet and intimate atmosphere. American bar: The American Bar is in the main hall and is open from 9 am until midnight. At the American Bar & Lounge we serve main courses, pizza, sandwiches, ice-creams, appetizers, wine tasting and cocktails. Fax, Photocopies and Telegrams: If you wish to send or receive a fax, to use the photocopier or to send a telegram, you only need to ask the reception desk. Newspapers and Magazines: Courtesy newspapers and magazines are available for our guests in the breakfast hall in the morning as well as at the American Bar, in the reception area and on the tables in the main hall. Access for Disabled People: The Grand Hotel Mediterraneo is equipped with ramps and lifts which facilitate the access for disabled guests to the floors and to the different hotel areas. Special rooms are also available to offer the best comfort to the handicapped. Boutique: At the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo you can enjoy your shopping in the two in-house boutiques. Florentine leather items, accessories, clothes and gifts by famous Italian designers are sold at very interesting prices. The multi-language shop assistants will be happy to advice and assist you. The boutiques are on the ground floor and are open from 8 am to 11 am, and from 6 pm to 10,30 pm. Internet Point: In the main hall of the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo you can find a cosy and comfortable corner designed for those who wish to connect to the Internet for business or leisure. Four Internet workstations are available in a secluded area, to protect your privacy, and they are available 24 hours a day. A Japanese keyboard is also available. The Internet Point at the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo gives you the opportunity to surf the net, to send emails or to read the latest news. Bookings for Florence Museums, Shows and Events: If you wish to book your tickets for the Uffizi Gallery, for one of the concerts of the "Maggio Musicale Fiorentino" festival, or any other ticket for one of the many available events, you can ask the reception desk. The staff of the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo is at your disposal to provide information and bookings for museums, shows and events held in Florence. Meetings and Congresses: The Grand Hotel Mediterraneo features meeting and congress halls for 10 to 220 people, as well as 3 rooms for smaller groups. All of the rooms have modern equipment and they can be adjusted to your needs. We also provide secretary service, cloakroom and areas for your business lunches. The easy access to the rooms also allows to organise presentations, exhibitions and special happenings which require large scenes and display areas. Shuttle to/from Florence airport: The Grand Hotel Mediterraneo puts at your disposal a shuttle service to and from the Florence airport, at a price of 50,00 € for 2, 3 or 4 persons. The Grand Hotel Mediterraneo features a Congress and Conference Center with two halls measuring over 220 square meters, which can be divided in various ways, and in addition has also numerous smaller meeting rooms for groups from 12 to 60 people (see chart below). Our staff and the Congress Facilities Manager, Carlo Fabiani, will be happy to find the best solution among the many options to organise your congresses and meetings, with or without coffee-break or meal. Be it an important and private meeting or a prestigious congress, the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo offers a perfect location, in a functional and impressive setting to ensure your success. With its wide spaces, up to 800 sqm, the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo can also organise exhibitions, shows, vernissage, product-launching events, and all of these accompanied by high-quality catering services such as coffee-breaks and business lunches, gala dinners, celebrations and banquets. All the rooms are airy and luminous, with natural light too, and are equipped with the most modern technologies. They can be adjusted in size and characteristics to our customers' requests. How to reach us: By Car: leave the A1 motorway at the "Firenze Sud" exit. Go straight until the end of the junction that runs over the river Arno, take a left at the traffic light and go straight for about 2 km. The Grand Hotel Mediterraneo is on your right. By train: from "Santa Maria Novella" railway station, you can walk to the hotel (25 minutes) or catch the No 14 bus (ticket: 1,20 €) and get off at the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo stop in Via Arnolfo (behind the hotel). The Grand Hotel Mediterraneo is at about 150 metres. By plane: Amerigo Vespucci Airport - Peretola, Florence. The Grand Hotel Mediterraneo is at about 10 km from the airport and can be reached in a few minutes with the shuttle that stops at the railway station (where you can take a bus or a taxi) or directly by taxi (price: about 20-25 €).

Rooms

All of the 331 rooms at Grand Hotel Mediterraneo (Classic, Superior, Executive and Suite) have air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, minibar and safe box. If you wish to use your laptop computer and connect to the Internet, you can do so directly from your room, using the modem socket that you will find at the centre of your desk. All rooms are equipped with the most modern comforts, and they have all been designed and decorated to satisfy your needs. They are different in size and/or in the view they offer, or in the type of bathroom facilities (bath tub, shower or Jacuzzi). Upon arrival you can ask for an accommodation which is different from what you had booked: if that is possible, our reception staff will be happy to modify it. The 331 rooms at Grand Hotel Mediterraneo are large, luminous and equipped with all comforts. They have been designed and refurbished with great care in all details, to meet our guests' needs. All of the Superior rooms have wide windows to make the best of the magnificent view over the river Arno and the Tuscan hills. Non-smoking rooms are also available upon request.

It is amazing how one can discover Florence and Tuscany through the taste and flavour of their local traditional cuisine. The Grand Hotel Mediterraneo has three in-house restaurants: The Ristorante Arno, the Taverna and the Ristorante Fiesole, all of them lit by natural light to allow their guests to relax in a cosy and comfortable environment or to dine in a more elegant atmosphere. In these restaurants you can always taste excellent and true Tuscan and Florentine dishes, as well as Italian and international cuisine. Exclusive and private rooms are available for celebrations, banquets or business dinners.
